The Giggles FAQs

1. General Information

Do I need to book in advance, or can I just turn up?

We strongly recommend booking online in advance to guarantee your spot, especially at weekends and during school holidays. If we have space available, you’re welcome to pay on the door too.

Sessions are usually 2½hrs , giving your little ones plenty of time to explore, climb, slide and giggle!

We are open 9.30am-5.30pm seven days a week. We can also stay open later for private bookings. Opening hours may change during special occasions and bank holidays.

We’re unable to extend your session, but you’re more than welcome to book the next session right after and keep going!

You’re welcome to join at any time during your session, but we’re afraid we can’t extend or refund missed time.

Of course! Just let a member of the team know before you leave so we can make sure you’re readmitted safely.

2. Children & Age Ranges

The Giggles is designed for children aged up to 10 years old, with a special area for under 5s. If your child is attending a SEND session, we may allow up to 12 years old. Please ask our team on site to discuss your needs.

Yes! Our dedicated under 5s area has smaller slides, soft mats and age-appropriate activities so little ones can play safely and confidently.

Absolutely. Babies and toddlers can enjoy the under 5s area and ball pit. Babies under 1 go free when attending with a paying child / adult.

For any age, safety is paramount, so children should use slides appropriate to their developmental stage and physical ability. We recommend the under 5s area is only for under 5s, and the main frame area for over 5s.

Adults can accompany children if needed, but the equipment is designed for kids - so please take care!

Yes, we know families often have mixed ages. We just ask that older children are mindful of smaller ones and follow our safety guidance.

3. Safety & Supervision

Yes. Parents and carers must stay on site and supervise their children at all times.

Our team is here to make sure everyone has fun safely, but supervision is the responsibility of parents and carers.

All our equipment meets strict safety standards, and we carry out daily checks. As part of Active Luton, we follow robust health and safety procedures you can trust.

We recommend comfortable clothes and socks is essential for everyone on the play frame. No shoes or bare feet please.

Yes, socks are essential for hygiene and safety. Don’t worry if you have forgotten yours, we have some available to purchase.

Please speak to a member of our team straight away - our first aiders are always on hand to help.

4. Food & Drink

Yes! Our friends at Café 1 provide tasty food, snacks and drinks for adults and children.

We’re sorry, but only food and drink purchased from Café 1 can be consumed on site (except for baby food and formula).

Yes - Café 1 offers a range of options and can advise on ingredients. Just ask before you order.

Yes, Café 1 serves a selection of hot meals, snacks, and sweet treats.

We have tables and chairs, but there might not always be availability during busy periods.

5. Cleanliness & Facilities

We carry out cleaning throughout the day, so you can relax knowing The Giggles is spotless and safe.

Yes, baby changing stations are available in our toilets.

Prams and pushchairs can be left outside the entrance to The Giggles but we are not able to accept responsibility for any theft or damage.

We have a small number of lockers available but please be aware that we cannot take responsibility for any belongings.

Yes! Free Wi-Fi is available for all visitors.

6. Payments & Refunds

We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as contactless and mobile payments. We also accept cash. Unfortunately we don't accept American Express.

Please contact us as soon as possible if your plans change. We’ll always do our best to help rearrange your session.

Refunds aren’t usually available, but we’ll try to move your booking to another date where possible.

7. Accessibility & Inclusion

Yes. The entrance, café and viewing area are all accessible.

This is something we hope to be able to introduce in the coming months.

Yes! During term-time on a Tuesday from 9.30am-12pm, anyone from the LU3 or LU4 postcode area can attend for £4 for 1-10years and £1 for Adults. Please bring proof of your residency when you attend.

Yes! If you are a childminder attending with 3 or more children, you can attend for free. Please bring proof of your Ofsted childminder status with you.

8. Parties & Events

You’re welcome to bring your own cake and a few decorations (no confetti or balloons, please!).

You can book online or contact our team to discuss your options and any special requests.

Our party packages include playtime and food from Café 1. Full details are available on our Parties page.

Yes! The Giggles is available for private hire - perfect for birthdays, nurseries, or group celebrations.

9. Getting Here

We’re based in the Marsh Farm area of Luton – you can find our full address and directions on our Contact page.

Yes, free parking is available on site, either in front of the building, or in the multi-story car park to the right of the gated entrance.

10. Other

Yes, we welcome group bookings. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
